How Endorsa works

A quick explanation of what this is, how recommendations get in, and what the sourcing badges actually mean.

What is Endorsa?

Endorsa collects the specific, credible things managers, clients and colleagues have said about you, in one place, and turns them into a clean PDF or a shareable link. It's built to sit alongside your resume, LinkedIn and GitHub, not replace them: a place for the praise that usually gets buried in a profile section or lost in an old email thread.

How recommendations are collected

Paste one in

Already have a recommendation from LinkedIn, email or Slack? Paste the text in yourself, and add a link to where it's publicly visible if you have one.

Request one

Send a manager, client or colleague a magic link by email. No account needed on their end, just two short prompts, and it lands directly in your dashboard once they submit.

A display service, not a verification service

Endorsa doesn't verify recommendations, and honestly, almost no one can. Most recommendation text could be written by anyone. Rather than pretend otherwise, Endorsa discloses a few plain, checkable facts about where each recommendation came from, and leaves the judgment to whoever's reading it.

LinkedIn / G2 / Clutch link

Links to a recognized public reference platform, so anyone reading it can click through and see the recommendation live, tied to a real profile on that platform.

Company email

The reviewer's email uses a company domain rather than a free provider like Gmail. Never shown publicly, only used to compute this label.

Submitted by reviewer

The reviewer wrote these words themselves, through the magic-link request form, rather than the candidate pasting them in.

A recommendation with no badges isn't flagged as suspicious, it just means none of these particular facts apply. Absence of a badge isn't a judgment either way.

FAQs

Does Endorsa verify recommendations?

No. Endorsa is a place to display recommendations you already have, not a service that verifies them. Instead of grading recommendations as "verified" or not, we show a few honest facts about where each one came from, and let you judge it yourself.

Can I edit a recommendation after adding it?

Yes. Open any recommendation on your dashboard and click Edit to update the text, reviewer details, or link at any time.

Can a reviewer see other recommendations or my dashboard?

No. A reviewer's magic link only opens a short, two-prompt form for their own request: there's no login and no visibility into anything else on Endorsa.

What happens after I send a request?

You're emailed the moment the reviewer submits, and it appears in your dashboard automatically, tagged as submitted directly by the reviewer.

Can I leave a recommendation off my public page without deleting it?

Yes. Only the recommendations you've ticked on your dashboard are included in your PDF export and public profile link. Untick one any time to leave it out.

Is my public profile page searchable on Google?

Only if you opt in. By default your profile is excluded from search engines and reachable only by direct link, like a portfolio link. You're asked once when you first sign up, and you can turn it on or off any time from Settings.

How do I change my public profile link?

Go to Settings from your dashboard and update your link there. Changing it will break any copies you've already shared.
